About the artist
Tracey Williams is a painter from Caernarfon, Gwynedd, North Wales, UK. Her work is inspired by memory, landscape and imagination, and she is known for her distinctively expressive, figurative style.
She began her career in 1995 after graduating in Fine Art from Cardiff Institute of Higher Education, where she later studied for her Masters.
Exhibitions and media
Tracey has exhibited in the Royal National Eisteddfod, the Festival Interceltique de Lorient and in numerous other national and international exhibitions, many of them with the Group 75. She has work in a number of private collections, and has been featured on welsh language television.
In addition to practising her own work, Tracey has run many workshops, with organisations such as the National Museums and Galleries of Wales and with smaller independent galleries. In these she shares her knowledge, skills and enthusiasm with both adults and children.
She also offers practical demonstrations of her work to art societies and classes.
